- RF Shielding Room – The MRI suite must be fully enclosed in RF (radio frequency) shielding, typically using copper or aluminum panels to prevent signal interference.
- Material Selection – All fixtures and furniture must be non-ferromagnetic to avoid magnetic field distortion or risk of injury.
- The MRI machine needs to be cooled during operation in order to design a good control and acoustic system.
- Floor Structure – Due to the heavy weight of MRI machines, the subfloor must be reinforced and may require floating floor installation to isolate vibration and ensure machine stability.
